One of the most popular how-to guides for making money on eBay is "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay" by Jim Cockrum. This has been one of the top-selling ebooks on Clickbank for a number of years now.
eBay has become such a phenomenon over the last few years that there are many books and courses that claim they will show you how to get rich on eBay, with very little time invested. You might have seen some of these on late-night TV infomercials, or you might delete a number of emails (spam, really) about these every day.
Many of these products are not worth the time it takes to read them. In a lot of cases, you could find the same information for free just by spending an hour or two reading the information on eBay’s site and doing some simple searches in Google.

The Silent Sales Machine book offers a number of different ideas about how to set up these automated "sales machines". The examples in the book are mostly from the author’s own experience, but they will give you lots of ideas of your own that you can implement.
I constantly find myself thinking of new possibilities for sales machines I can set up on eBay. The only problem I find is that I have more ideas than time, so I’ve only managed to get a few of them up and running so far. I’ve had mixed results, with some doing better than others, but for most of them I haven’t had to spend a dime. Any extra income I can get from these ideas is pure profit.
Keep in mind, however, that this book does not teach you the ins and outs of selling on eBay so much as a way to leverage your sales on eBay to earn extra profits. If you are looking for a guide to improving your auction sales directly, this is not the book for you.

Set your auctions low, which will help encourage more bidding. The more bidding you have, the higher the price will ultimately go. In addition, if you add a “Buy Now” option for your auction, keep this set at a reasonable rate as well.
